We deliver online courses for energy professionals. Our students may need to prepare for certification exams, expand their careers, fulfill job training requirements, or accumulate continuing education credits.

Our training expands upon the traditional classroom environment by utilizing specialized learning tools -- narrated videos, narrated slide-shows, group forums, interactive lessons, and self-administered tests -- that create a comprehensive and flexible training program. Since the course materials are always available, and students can set their own pace of study, most students report that they learn more in these Saturn Online courses than they have in comparable classroom courses. Since these online courses do not require travel, students can now take advantage of technical training they may have otherwise missed because of financial or time constraints.

We currently offer offer courses at two levels:

Level 1 courses provide training for those who are just starting in the field of energy auditing. Entry-level staff members who implement weatherization programs are good candidates for Level 1 courses.

Level 2 courses provide training to those who are career-oriented or who are working toward professional certifications. Professional who already have some experience in related fields are good candidates for Level 2 courses.

Our Building Analyst and HERS Rater course is directed toward auditors who plan to take the BPI/Building Analyst Professional exam and/or the RESNET HERS Rater exam. Our Weatherization Energy Auditor course is tailored specifically for the DOE Weatherization Assistance Program and utility conservation programs. Our books Residential Energy and the Energy Auditor Field Guide are the supporting textbooks for most of our courses.
